About StudioNorthwest.com

My interest in photography began in my teenage years with an introductory course in junior high. My first camera was a Kodak X-30, which used 126 cartridge film. All my early work was in black and white.

To develop my film, I set up a basic darkroom in a small light-proof room in our basement. Watching the images appear in the chemicals was amazing. Later, I inherited an Omega enlarger my grandfather used in the 1950s.

Today, I primarily use Leica cameras and lenses. I love street photography, capturing moments and interactions in urban settings. Architecture also interests me, as I explore lines, forms, and texture.

I'm an amateur photographer dedicated to improving my craft.
